"Before starting college, I wondered if I would be able to get help financially because I wasn't working at the time and knew my parents would not have the money. If I did get help, would it be enough to cover what it costs to go to college. I had a backup plan to take a year off to work and save money to go back to school, even if it meant taking longer to become a nurse. But thankfully I met the Outreach team who told me about the benefits Coastline had like the Coastline Promise. With the Coastline Promise, going straight to college was possible and was going to be free - I didn't have to pay anything. My main concerns were covered like my tuition, fees, and books. Another think I liked was that my classes were going to be small and we would get support from the STAR 2.0 Pathway. If you don't know what classes you need to take, STAR gives you a full year of classes to take and you're with the same people so you don't feel scared that you will not know people."

"Hey there! I chose to go to Coastline because of their class sizes and the network between student and staff. My time here as a first-year student has been an amazing one because I have been able to make connections and know many people within in the college. With the size of the college, my professors know me by name and face, and I am able to get a lot of help from them regarding their class or tips on my career pathway. On top of that, Coastline offers many programs that support me and my education. Being a part of these programs has helped me financially and academically to achieve my goals, because Coastline's main goal is to see their students succeed in the career path that they choose. As a senior in high school looking at colleges, I looked to find one that provided me the most benefit and financially more successful for my career choice. Coastline landed nicely in that description, and I am proud that I have decided to choose Coastline as my starting college."
